Digital Operations & Strategy

UGS’s approach to digital operations and strategy (formerly referred to as ICT).

This is undertaken through our partnerships with:

  • RM Education
  • South Lanarkshire Council’s Finance and Corporate Resources IT Team
  • The pupils of Uddingston Grammar School
  • The staff of Uddingston Grammar School
  • The parents and carers of the pupils of Uddingston Grammar School

Our digital operations and strategy are coordinated through the:

  • Digital Operations and Strategy Group (the D.O.S.G.)

This includes the following individuals:

  • The Digital Operations Coordinator (formerly referred to as the ICT Coordinator). This is currently Mr Paul Telfer.
  • The RM Technical Account Manager (T.A.M.). This is Mr Stephen Hart
  • The Senior Leadership Team Link. This is Mr Paul Telfer.

From January 2018 there will be representation from the:

  • Business & Administration Department
  • Computing Department
  • Support for Learning Department
  • Technical Department
  • Visual Impairment Team

The role of the RM Technical Account Manager is given below

The RM TAM:

  • Manages the open calls and the Service Level Agreement.
  • Undertakes strategic planning and development of ICT with the ICT Coordinator and SLT Link.

The role of the SLT Link is given below. The SLT Link:

  • Undertakes the Quality Assurance of the School Standards for Digital support and utilises the Digital Survey, twice yearly (September and March).
  • Undertakes regular meetings with the Digital Operations Coordinator (formerly referred to as the ICT Coordinator).
  • Undertakes strategic planning and development of Digital approaches and systems with the TAM and the Digital Operations Coordinator.
