Computing Science

Computing Science is vital to everyday life

Socially, technologically and economically; it shapes the world in which we live and its future. Computing is embedded in the world around us, from systems and devices in our homes and places of work, to how we access education, entertainment, transportation, and communication.

Computer Science is a discipline that spans theory and practice. The practical side of computing can be seen everywhere. Nowadays, practically everyone is a computer user, and many people are even computer programmers.

In Computer Science learners develop essential skills for everyday life, learning to understand the technologies that underpin the digital world. Pupils will develop skills to analyse, design, model, implement and test digital solutions to straightforward problems using programming skills and computational processes.

Computer scientists use technology to solve problems. They write software to make computers do new things or to complete tasks more efficiently. They create applications for mobile devices, develop websites, and program software.

Computing Science is the future-be a part of it!
